Uncle Daniel left this week to Sao Paulo Brazil, South mission. We miss him already. We had an emotional week as he prepared to leave for the next 2 years. He was having a pretty hard time and it only made it harder to say goodbye. This was my first time sending a brother out on a mission so it was a really neat experience for me. What a neat thing it is to go on a mission. Mom P said to me, "How can such a right thing be SO hard?" We know this will be an amazing experience for Daniel and he will be such an amazing missionary. He gave an excellent farewell talk on the atonement and he really does have a strong testimony of the gospel. What an example he is to me and my family. We are so proud of him for the choice he has made to serve the Lord for 2 years. We love you Daniel!

This is Daniel's best friend, Sam and Kayli's first crush. She wasn't very impressed with Sam's girlfriend. She told me that Sam has a girlfriend and "that's not so nice!"

It was a priceless moment as I watched Kayli and Grandma interacting. Grandma was just carrying on a conversation with Kayli like she was an adult and would cut up her meat for her as she was eating. It was pretty cute.
