Time for Dinner!

Kayli LOVES to help me cook no matter what I am doing. She gets so excited when she sees me in the kitchen. She runs to get her chair and very loudly slides it across the floor and puts in right where I am cooking. (Making it difficult for mom to do what I was doing). But I wouldn't trade it. It is so fun having her help me even if it is frustrating sometimes. She is mom's little helper.

Here she was too busy eating to help much :)

Sometimes she just eats the flour... and she thinks it's good. Crazy girl!

I didn't know you were in my mom's ward - and that you guys are going to med school. It is totally fun, and a great adventure being in the "mission field". You will rely on the members of your ward like you never have before, and you'll make friends from other faiths and learn a lot. Med school does take a lot of your hubby's time, but it hasn't been as bad as I thought (Todd graduates in June!!), but I have heard residency is more difficult. But it's one of those things that you guys can adjust to and work together to achieve. The one thing that really helped us is that Todd made it so that he wouldn't come home until after 5 (on the days that he was done with classes earlier) so he would study at school, so that when he was home, he was HOME. Then if needed he would study some more after 8 (when the kids were in bed). That really helped us, and yes there were times that the kids wouldn't see him all day and I would only see him for a moment before falling asleep. But, it's totally do-able and you'll have so much fun!

That sounds exactly like me and McKoy!!! Almost word for word. It is fun though. I am glad that he loves helping me. Fun memories for him and I to take with us.

What great memories. I usually dread having the kids help in the kitchen but one day I let Kate & Drew help make cookies and had them taste a little of EVERYTHING that went into them. It was fun because some of it was great, and other stuff like baking soda... nasty. I didn't let them sample raw eggs, though... salmonella & all. Hope you post more often!! Miss you.

Trey loves to help me cook too! It is one of our favorite things to do. Did you make Kayli's apron? I want to make aprons for Trey and Charlee.
